About the course
Generative AI is increasingly used across global and public health—from health education and behaviour-change communication to community outreach and resource development. Yet public health is a high-stakes environment: inaccurate or misleading content can cause real-world harm, amplify stigma, or erode public trust. This course provides a practical, safe, and ethically grounded introduction to responsible AI use in health communication and analysis. Through six structured modules, you will learn how AI interprets health information, where inaccuracies arise, and how to identify misinformation, fabricated statistics, or culturally insensitive content. You will practise co-authoring health materials with clear human oversight, prototyping education tools, reviewing outputs for stigma and bias, and applying governance protocols that align with WHO/Ministry of Health guidance. Built on the Six-Domain AI Capability Framework (2026 Edition), the course develops capability across literacy, co-agency, generative prototyping, ethics and equity, governance and safety, and reflective learning. You’ll receive downloadables, prompt packs, checklists, and tools that can be used immediately in your professional context. Designed for practitioners, students, and professionals across global and public health—no AI background required. Enrol now to build a safe, accurate, and ethical AI practice that strengthens public trust and supports effective health communication.
