About the course
Generative AI opens new creative possibilities—but it also raises questions of cultural meaning, authorship, justice, and accountability. Without care, AI can distort traditions, flatten cultural diversity, reproduce stereotypes, or inadvertently misrepresent communities and heritage. This course provides a practical, ethical, and accessible introduction to using Generative AI across creative, artistic, and cultural contexts. You will explore how AI models generate images, text, and narratives; how to identify inaccuracies and harmful cultural distortions; and how to co-create responsibly while maintaining artistic direction, cultural integrity, and human agency. Using the Six-Domain AI Capability Framework (2026 Edition), you will build capability across awareness, human–AI co-creation, generative prototyping, cultural ethics, governance and stewardship, and reflective artistic practice. You will also gain practical tools, prompt libraries, scenario templates, governance logs, and reflective worksheets. This course is designed for artists, educators, cultural organisations, community creators, museums, archives, libraries, and anyone exploring creative work with AI. No technical experience is required—just curiosity and a commitment to ethical, culturally respectful innovation. Enrol now to develop a creative AI practice that is imaginative, responsible, and grounded in cultural stewardship.
